Bye bye buses!
A friend just sent me this article from The Age.
All I can say (if it actually happens) is – SWEET!. Reminds me of the commute last week when a mini-bus driver (the bus was mini, not him – he was quite-not-mini) opened a door in front of me. I was actually in no danger, having spotted the hazard well before, but I stopped anyway and called out to him “Watch out buddy!” To this he replied (in a Mike Tyson-ish voice) “You watch out!” I explained to him that I had actually watched and that’s why I hadn’t taken his door as a souvineer. He made a face, then got into his bus, which I think might have been because I used too many long words. Either that or he didn’t want to deal with the group of four other commuting cyclists who’d also pulled up behind me.
That photo in the article is kinda scary!
